Total Namibia opened its doors in 1977 in the then-South West Africa. Later the Company was registered in 1988 as Total South West Africa/Namibia (Pty) Ltd and in 1989, changed to Total Namibia (Pty) Ltd.
Total Namibia currently has 31 service stations all across the country, plus five sites in the national parks, which are believed to be a great advantage to the tourism sector, and three depots, which are in Windhoek, Tsumeb and Walvis Bay.
The business environment is booming, supplying individual vehicle owners, small business enterprises, government vehicles, agricultural sectors and mining sectors.
Total Namibia is in the process of rolling out the new dynamic Tair norm service stations and seven sites have been converted by the end of 2013.
Total Namibia now also caters for new diesel vehicles, having introduced Evolution 50ppm diesel.
In the mining sector a tender has been awarded by Langer Heinrich and will be commencing in April 2014. In conjunction with this, Total Namibia received a VMI (vendor managed inventory) award for its efforts in 2013 from Rossing Uranium Mine.
Total Namibia takes pride in employing Namibian citizens and has a headcount of 35 Namibian employees. Two interns are also employed with various staff development initiatives in place.
